Description
STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking a motivated and committed Quality Manager to help launch a manufacturing facility in Salem, Virginia. The Quality Manager ensures quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.

Plant Quality Manager Responsibilities:

Oversees implementation & maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS).

Acts as Customer and Supplier liaison for plant quality activities and concerns.

Maintains Quality documentation, mainly pertaining to PPAP (including but not limited to Control Plans, FMEAS, PPAP, Process Flows, 8D, IMDS, GR&R, AAR, PSW, etc.)

Serves as the Corporate IATF Management Representative, reporting on the status of the Business Management System to Corporate through Business Review Meetings.

Ensures investigation of, root cause determination, corrective action implementation and response to customer complaints in a timely manner.

Adheres to applicable IATF 16949/CCC requirements.

Reviews quality assurance instructions, assembly specifications, and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and tests, sequence of operations and work assignments.

Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage personnel assigned. ​​​

Competitive pay and benefits package. The range for the position is $90,000 to $110,000. Specific salary is commensurate with relevant experience and factors such as education, certifications and licenses, skills, and training.

Experience / Certifications
Required

5-10 years: Quality experience within the automotive industry.

5-10 years: Overseeing and maintaining plant's document control system.

5-10 years: IATF 16949 audits and certification requirements.

5-10 years: Launching new business using APQP procedures.

5-10 years: Quality documentation such as PPAP and APQP.
