The STS Group is a globally leading supplier of components and systems for the commercial vehicle and automotive industries headquartered in France. The Adler Pelzer Group, a global Tier 1 supplier recently acquired STS group to expand its target market. STS is pioneering operations of Class A surface components for the heavy trucks in the USA. We are seeking two experienced Industrial and Building Maintenance Technicians for the manufacturing processes of the brand new STS start up in Salem, Virginia - Roanoke, VA area. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.
The Industrial and Building Maintenance Technician is a key role in getting the plant ready for operations. The Industrial and Building Maintenance Technician supports building maintenance activities, equipment build, as well as the production activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of the production line equipment and machinery. This role inspects and repairs machinery and equipment based on operating parameters.

Responsibilities of an Industrial and Building Maintenance Technician include:

Analyzes mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, plans for, and takes corrective action. Make necessary corrections and run adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.

Performs basic mechanical and structural building maintenance.

Tests newly installed or refurbished equipment to ensure fulfillment to specification and safety.

Immediately respond to maintenance issues when production has stopped due to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic problems.

Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime.

Forklift license is required, Overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required.

Hourly Range is $25.00 to $35.00 per hour. Specific rate is commensurate with relevant experience and factors such as specific experience with equipment and processes, education, certifications, licenses, technical skills, and training.
